Dental Veneers in Morocco: Cost, Porcelain vs Composite (2026)

Information guide — clear and reviewed (2026)
Written by the Evitalink team from the protocols used by our partner dental centres in Morocco. This article explains techniques and price ranges without promising an outcome: only a dentist, after examination and X-rays, can tell you whether veneers are right for you.

Veneers have become the most requested cosmetic treatment in our partner centres — ahead of whitening. But the word covers two very different things: composite, placed in a single visit and largely reversible, and porcelain, longer-lasting but usually requiring enamel to be reduced. This guide gives you the real prices in Morocco for 2026, the honest difference between the two, and the questions to ask before saying yes.

In short

In Morocco, a porcelain veneer costs on average MAD 2,500–4,500 per tooth (about USD 250–455), against USD 1,000–1,600 in the UK, while a composite veneer costs MAD 800–1,800 (USD 80–180). A full smile of 8 to 10 porcelain veneers typically comes to USD 2,000–4,500, roughly 60–70 % less than in Western Europe, for a 5 to 7 day stay in two appointments.

  • Composite: one visit, little or no enamel reduction, lasts 4–7 years, can be repaired chairside.
  • Porcelain (e.max, feldspathic): two appointments 3–6 days apart, lasts 10–15 years with good hygiene.
  • Typical trip: 5 to 7 days on site — digital impressions on day 1, final bonding on day 5 or 6.
  • Common contraindications: inflamed gums, active decay, untreated bruxism, heavily damaged teeth (crowns rather than veneers).
  • Your quote must name the material brand and include a written guarantee.

What a veneer actually is — and what it is not

A veneer is a thin shell bonded to the visible face of a tooth. It corrects colour, shape, slight crowding or a gap between teeth. It does not straighten a genuinely misaligned tooth: that is orthodontic work — clear aligners or braces — possibly followed by veneers.

The costliest confusion is between a veneer and a crown. A veneer covers only the front surface and preserves the tooth structure. A crown covers the whole tooth after far more substantial preparation. If a dentist proposes crowns where you expected veneers, ask why: the answer is often legitimate — a root-treated, heavily filled or badly damaged tooth — but it must be explained.

💡 Before you decide
  • A veneer is a cosmetic treatment: it does not treat decay or gum disease.
  • Most protocols involve enamel reduction, which is permanent.
  • A smile is not only about teeth: the gum line and facial proportions matter just as much.

Porcelain or composite: the honest comparison

The choice is not only about budget. It depends on the condition of your teeth, your expectations and how comfortable you are with an irreversible step.

✔️ How the choice is made in practice
  • Composite: limited budget, wanting to test a change, minor correction, younger patient with intact enamel.
  • Porcelain: seeking a durable, stable result, teeth already root-treated or deeply stained, full smile project.
  • Mixed approach: porcelain on the teeth visible when smiling (usually 6 to 10), composite on the laterals — a common and sensible compromise.

⚠️ What the headline price does not always include
  • The X-ray assessment and the scale and polish, sometimes billed separately.
  • Treating any decay or gum inflammation found at the assessment — this must be settled before veneers are placed.
  • A night guard if you grind your teeth (MAD 300–900).
  • Flights and accommodation, which Evitalink quotes separately in the overall estimate.

Your dental trip to Morocco, step by step

A veneer project should not be decided on arrival. The useful work starts from home, which shortens your time on site and avoids unpleasant surprises.

  1. Before you travel — remote assessment
You send photos of your smile and, if you have one, a recent panoramic X-ray. The partner dentist assesses feasibility and proposes a costed treatment plan.
  2. Day 1 — examination and impressions
Clinical examination, X-rays if needed, scale and polish. Discussion of shape and shade, often with a digital smile simulation. Optical impressions and tooth preparation.
  3. Days 2–5 — laboratory
The dental laboratory makes your veneers. You wear temporaries in the meantime. This is when you enjoy the stay — we handle the logistics through our stay in Morocco service.
  4. Day 5 or 6 — try-in and bonding
Dry try-in, shade and shape adjustments if needed, then final bonding. A check-up is normally scheduled for the following day.
  5. After you return — follow-up
Check-up photos at one month, then maintenance advice. The partner centre remains reachable and the written guarantee applies.

Risks, limits and warning signs

An honest article has to say what can go wrong. Veneers are a well-established treatment, but they are neither trivial nor suitable for everyone.

Normal after-effects include sensitivity to hot and cold for a few days to a few weeks, and temporary gum discomfort. Complications — debonding, a fractured veneer, gum inflammation — are uncommon when the indication is right and hygiene is rigorous.

⚠️ Walk away if you are offered any of these
  • Veneers placed without prior X-rays.
  • A quote that names neither the material nor the dental laboratory.
  • A guaranteed result promised from photographs alone, before any examination.
  • Preparation of ten or more teeth when you asked about your front teeth only.
  • No mention of a written guarantee or of follow-up after you return home.

Why Morocco for veneers

Morocco combines three things that rarely come together: dentists frequently trained in France, Spain or Belgium; CAD/CAM-equipped dental laboratories working with the same porcelain brands used across Europe; and running costs that allow fees two to three times lower.

Two practical advantages matter for international patients: direct flights — around three hours from London, and non-stop services from Lagos, Accra and Nairobi via Casablanca's hub — and English-speaking coordination throughout your stay, arranged by Evitalink.

Frequently asked questions

How much do dental veneers cost in Morocco?
Expect MAD 2,500–4,500 per tooth (about USD 250–455) for an e.max porcelain veneer, and MAD 800–1,800 (USD 80–180) for a composite veneer. A full smile of 8 to 10 porcelain veneers typically comes to USD 2,000–4,500, compared with USD 8,000–16,000 in the UK.
How long do I need to stay in Morocco for veneers?
Allow 5 to 7 days for porcelain veneers: examination and impressions on day 1, laboratory fabrication over 3 to 5 days, try-in and final bonding on day 5 or 6. Composite veneers can be placed in a single session, so a 2 to 3 day stay is enough.
Do veneers damage your teeth?
Porcelain veneers generally require 0.3 to 0.7 mm of enamel to be removed, which is permanent. Composite veneers can often be placed with minimal or no preparation, which makes them partly reversible. Your dentist must explain exactly what will be prepared before starting.
How long do dental veneers last?
A well-placed and well-maintained porcelain veneer lasts on average 10 to 15 years. Composite veneers last 4 to 7 years and tend to stain with coffee, tea and tobacco. Daily hygiene, a night guard if you grind your teeth, and regular check-ups are the main factors in longevity.
Is there a guarantee on veneers placed in Morocco?
Our partner centres provide a written guarantee normally covering debonding and fracture, subject to proper follow-up and hygiene. Insist that this guarantee appears in the quote before any payment, with its duration and exact scope stated.
Can I have veneers if my gums are fragile?
Not immediately. Inflamed gums or periodontal disease must be treated and stabilised before veneers are placed, otherwise the aesthetic result deteriorates quickly and veneers may debond. The initial assessment exists precisely to detect this.
Does Evitalink offer a discount on dental treatment?
Evitalink holds direct agreements with its partner dental centres in Morocco, which allows a discount of up to 15 % on the procedures concerned. It is built into your quote, with no action needed on your part.
